New Year, New Site
Posted on Sunday the 16th of March 2025As has become tradition, the new year heralds a new iteration of the website. No so much has changed this time on the front end UI side. I never really used the website much last year so it was fairly easy to migrate. The back end, hardware and software, has been updated and improved though. I plan on making some posts about the new server cabinet, the hardware inside it and the software running on it.
Most of the website has been split into separate plugins, making it easier to update and manage. That means I don't have to do a lot of repetitive work when I update the website to a new iteration (which I'm sure will happen again). For now though, this has become my public website. Everything I had on the old website that was private only (most of which nobody ever saw, obviously) has been moved to internal websites thanks to the new setup.
The Minecraft server is next on my list of things to update. I know some people have been hankering for it to return and I promise it will. I'm moving management of the server whitelist etc. over to Discord for now as I don't want to have to deal with the account management on this website. The launcher link now takes you to the Discord channel and there's a link to the actual launcher there. You don't need to download it if you already have it though. The current launcher will automatically update when the new Minecraft server update is out.
I can't believe it's the middle of March already!
